Application Engineer | Minto, NSW

Due to strong local growth, we are looking for a technically minded Application Engineer to join our team in Minto, NSW. This is a pivotal role supporting our national sales network and global engineering teams to deliver tailored energy solutions.

About the Role

As an Application Engineer, you will bridge the gap between complex client requirements and technical execution. You will be the technical lead during the pre-sales phase, ensuring our solutions are feasible, cost-effective, and perfectly aligned with project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Consultation
  Work with external stakeholders and design studios to understand project requirements and provide expert advice on product placement.

• Pre-Sales Support
  Conduct feasibility analyses for requests for offers (RFO) and develop professional business proposals.

• Bidding & Estimating
  Manage all aspects of the bidding process, including estimated costs and the elaboration of forecast cost statements to ensure deadlines are met.

• Cross-Functional Liaison
  Coordinate with our global factories and engineering teams for design scope, estimation, and production.

• Supplier & Branch Engagement
  Liaise with suppliers for specific materials and maintain regular contact with international branches to realize estimates.

What You’ll Bring

We are looking for a professional who balances technical engineering rigor with the communication skills necessary for high-level sales support.

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent industry experience).

• Strong knowledge of power generation systems and electrical/mechanical product integration.

• Familiarity with project management principles and the ability to manage the bidding lifecycle.

• Excellent English communication skills; you must be comfortable conducting technical discussions with customers and global internal teams.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a high level of attention to detail.

• Availability for occasional domestic (interstate) and international travel, including periodic visits to manufacturing facilities.
