Group Management Accountant
Esco Industries
Sydney CBD | Hybrid (3 days in office) | $110,000 – $120,000 + super
Esco Industries is looking for a commercially minded Group Management Accountant to join the finance team in Sydney.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership of reporting, improving processes, and turning financial data into clear, useful business insight. You’ll work closely with the Group Chief Accountant and have exposure to senior stakeholders across the business, helping bring greater visibility, consistency and confidence to group reporting.
This role sits across Esco’s wider group structure, so it offers more than standard month-end reporting. Alongside supporting the existing business, you’ll also gain exposure to new ventures and evolving business lines, making this a strong opportunity for someone who wants breadth, visibility and genuine impact.
What’s in it for you
Join a growing group role with visibility across multiple business entities
Work closely with senior leadership and contribute to executive-level reporting
Hybrid working model with a CBD office location
Opportunity to improve reporting processes and influence how finance supports the business
Exposure to both established operations and newer business ventures across the group
The Role
This role will take ownership of the monthly reporting cycle and support the delivery of accurate, timely and commercially useful management information across the group. You’ll work closely with regional finance contacts, review financial results, support budgeting and forecasting, and help strengthen reporting consistency across the business.
You’ll also play an important role in freeing up the Group Chief Accountant from the day-to-day reporting cycle so they can focus on higher-level finance leadership and business support.
Key Responsibilities
Own the month-end management reporting cycle across the group
Prepare monthly reporting packs, variance analysis, commentary and performance insights
Review regional financial submissions for accuracy, consistency and completeness
Support budgeting, forecasting and performance modelling
Help oversee AR/AP activity and ensure financial information is reliable and well supported
Work with stakeholders across the business to explain financial performance clearly
Contribute to process improvements, reporting standardisation and automation opportunities
Support board and executive reporting through Fathom and group reporting tools
Assist with ad hoc analysis and requests from senior leadership
What You’ll Bring
Previous experience in management accounting, commercial finance or FP&A
Strong month-end reporting capability and confidence working across multiple entities
Solid Excel skills and the ability to produce meaningful analysis, not just numbers
Comfortable working in a hands-on environment where systems and processes may not be perfect
Strong attention to detail and confidence reviewing work before sign-off
Ability to communicate clearly with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
Experience in manufacturing, distribution or operational environments would be beneficial
CPA/CA qualification is welcome, but not essential
A practical, adaptable mindset and willingness to get into the detail
Working Arrangement
Sydney CBD based – 44 Market Street
Hybrid role with an expectation of at least 3 days per week in the office
Standard full-time working hours
Salary
$110,000 – $120,000 + super
If you’re looking for a role where you can take ownership, improve reporting quality, and work closely with senior decision-makers in a growing group environment, we’d love to hear from you.
