About the Role
We’re looking for a hands-on Electrical Trade Assistant to support our workshop, service and assembly teams. If you enjoy practical electrical work, can follow safe work procedures and want to grow your technical capability in generators, control systems and power equipment, this is a solid opportunity.
Key responsibilities include:
Assisting qualified electricians and workshop technicians with electrical assembly, wiring and fit-ups
Supporting pre-delivery preparation of generators, lighting towers and power equipment
Installing and securing batteries, cabling, terminations, connectors and protection devices under supervision
Following electrical safety requirements, including lock-out/tag-out procedures and hazard reporting
Assisting with routine testing, inspection and basic fault-finding
Preparing units for dispatch including labelling, documentation and accessory fit-ups
Completing basic paperwork such as safety checks, quality records and time sheets
Supporting general workshop tasks, housekeeping, stock organisation and tool management
Assisting with occasional warehouse tasks when required
What You’ll Bring
Electrical aptitude and hands-on skills gained through training or practical experience
Ability to safely use hand and power tools
Capability to follow instructions from qualified tradespeople and supervisors
Physically able to safely lift 20kg
Basic computer skills for documentation and job recording
Forklift licence is an advantage (not essential)
