We’re on the lookout for a proactive, capable all rounder engineer to help bridge the gap between our Australian team and our offshore operations in China. This pivotal role sits at the heart of our business, working closely with teams across engineering, operations, and commercial functions to ensure a smooth and efficient transition of key manufacturing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Get hands-on across product development, manufacturing, and quality assurance
• Lead the transition of selected product lines to our China-based operations
• Act as the key liaison between our Australian business and Chinese manufacturing teams to maintain quality, compliance, and schedules
• Dive into cost analysis and production efficiency improvements to help us optimise margins
• Juggle multiple engineering and commercial projects with confidence and focus
• Prepare clear, concise technical documentation, reports, and specifications
• Support compliance efforts with Australian and international standards
• Coordinate product testing, inspections, and certifications with QA teams
• Collaborate with a variety of internal stakeholders including sales, operations, and leadership

What we are looking for

• A degree in Engineering (Australian-trained preferred)
• 3–7 years of post-grad experience in a multidisciplinary engineering setting
• Fluency in Mandarin and English (written Mandarin is a bonus!)
• Hands-on experience with project coordination or operations in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• A sharp analytical mind with the ability to interpret cost data and investigate root causes
• Strong time-management skills and the ability to stay focused under pressure
• Willingness to travel to China quarterly, at least in the initial stages
