We’re currently supporting several transport and logistics businesses across Far North Queensland and are on the lookout for a reliable and experienced Leading Hand to support daily yard operations and lead by example.

Based in locations such as Townsville or Cairns, this is a great opportunity to join an established business and play a key role in keeping things moving smoothly behind the scenes.

What you’ll be doing:

• Coordinating yard and depot activities
• Preparing loads safely in line with load restraint guidelines
• Communicating with schedulers, drivers, and depot managers
• Assisting with loading/unloading and basic equipment checks
• Keeping the depot organised, clean and safe
• Supporting drivers with readiness and dispatch

What we’re looking for:

• Previous experience in a Leading Hand, Yard Supervisor, or similar hands-on role
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Solid understanding of safety and compliance standards
• Ability to lead by example and support team efficiency

Licenses & Tickets (Highly Regarded):

• HC or MC licence
• Forklift ticket
• CV Crane ticket
• Rigger or Dogman ticket
